All Trakkabeam searchlights feature the latest in optical design
Utilizing a xenon lamp which requires about half the power of traditional searchlights, Trakka’s unique optical system creates a uniform beam whether in tight focus or wide angle. Unlike outdated searchlight technology, Trakka’s innovative optical design eliminates the bright hot-spot in tight focus as well as the black hole in the beam center when using wider viewing angles – resulting in fewer lost targets.
Trakkabeam® searchlights deliver many other benefits of the latest generation in searchlight technology:
- SUPERIOR BEAM PROFILE
- UNIQUE INTERNAL FILTER WHEEL
- MULTI-MISSION CAPABILITY
- MORE EFFICIENT FUNCTIONALITY
- COMPACT & LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN
- COST EFFECTIVE
The current range of Trakkabeam products include the “M” and “A” series.
Trakkabeam M500 and Trakkabeam M800
The compact, lightweight “M” series searchlights are ideal for land-based and marine applications. They are man portable and can easily be moved from site to site. They can be used at fixed locations or may be mounted on marine vessels and land vehicles. Trakkabeam “M” series searchlights are also RS232 addressable – allowing for remote control via a central command center.

Trakkabeam A800
The Trakkabeam “A” series are designed for Airborne, Marine, and other applications where an integrated motorized platform is required as part of the searchlight system. The Trakkabeam A800 is capable of being slaved to many other RS232 and 422 based systems such as thermal and video cameras, moving map displays and more. Advanced features such as dual control capability, stabilized platforms, and DO-160 / DO-178 compliance, make the A800 the searchlight of the future.

Rigorously tested
All Trakkabeam searchlight designs have undergone rigorous testing by internationally recognized testing laboratories. The A800 has been certified to the full battery of DO-160E tests at laboratories the United States and Australia. This series of tests includes critical tests such as lightning strike, vibration, AF and RF Susceptibility, Magnetic Effect, and many more – tests which some manufacturers are unable or unwilling to perform. This certification helps ensure a trouble-free and reliable searchlight system when installed.
Trakkabeam “M’” series searchlights have undergone thorough testing in an NATA approved laboratory, where they were subjected to water and dust testing in order to attain its IP23 and IP56 certifications.
In testing, and in real world use, the extremely robust Xenon short-arc lamp is more robust than conventional short-arc designs does not require cooling time prior to restart. This means that the powerful beam is available at all times in any given situation. In addition, violent shocks, as experienced in various mobile applications, have little effect on the Trakkabeam’s lamp.
